We only collect the data we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this can include:
- Contact details you share with us, such as your name, email address, phone number and company name.
- The content of your message, including details about your project that you choose to share through the contact form, by email or by phone.

We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we ask you not to send them to us.
3Why we use your data
We process personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your questions and planning a sparring session | Steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to you (art. 6.1 b and f GDPR) |
| Delivering our services and managing the client relationship | Performance of a contract (art. 6.1 b GDPR) |
| Invoicing and accounting | Legal obligation (art. 6.1 c GDPR) |
| Keeping the website secure and available | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1 f GDPR) |
| Optional analytics, only if you give consent | Consent (art. 6.1 a GDPR) |
We never sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4The contact form
The contact form on this website does not store your message on our servers. When you press send, your own email application opens with a prepared message to nanosupportbe@proton.me. Nothing is sent until you send that email yourself.
From that moment on, we process your message as described in this policy. Our mailbox is hosted by Proton AG in Switzerland, a country recognized by the European Commission as offering an adequate level of data protection.
5Who we share data with
We only share personal data when it is necessary, and only with parties that are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations:
- our hosting and email providers, who store data on our behalf;
- our accountant and the tax authorities, for invoicing and legal obligations;
- subcontractors or partners involved in your project, but only with your knowledge.
When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
6How long we keep data
- Messages and contact requests that don’t lead to a collaboration are deleted within 2 years after our last contact.
- Client and contract data is kept for the duration of the collaboration and up to 5 years after it ends, for evidence purposes.
- Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by Belgian law (currently 10 years).
- Server logs are kept for a short period, usually no longer than 30 days, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
7Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted when there is no longer a reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
To exercise your rights, email us at nanosupportbe@proton.me. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you believe we don’t handle your data correctly, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
8Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), end-to-end encrypted email, strong authentication and limited access on a need-to-know basis.
9Changes to this policy
